Compulsion

Compulsion - Martin L. Gore

Charms in limited supply
And refusing to stretch
That indefinable nothing
Somehow keeps pushing you
Finding the right words
Can be a problem
How many times must it be said
There's no plan
It had to happen

Got to move on sometime
And it's about time
By putting one foot in front of another
And repeating the process
Cross over the street
You're free to change your mind
Strength through diversity
Couldn't have put it more plainly
Got to move on sometime
Got to move on sometime
Got to move on sometime
Got to move on sometime

Charms in limited supply
Under threat of extinction
That indefinable nothing
Somehow motivates you
Finding the right words
Can be a problem
How many times must it be said
There's no plan
It had to happen

Got to move on sometime
And it's about time
By putting one foot in front of another
And repeating the process
Cross over the street
You're free to change your mind
Strength through diversity
Couldn't have put it more plainly
Got to move on sometime

def:manny

If you search for my nickname on urbandictionary.com you'll get the following results:

1. An overweight male who has an overbearing wife who controls his thoughts and actions and is deprived all forms of entertainment and enjoyment and forced to live a life of servitude.

I feel bad for Greg because he has turned into such a Manny.

2. A male nanny. From the same roots as murse, a male nurse.

I felt uncomfortable letting a manny babysit my kid.

BOX OFFICE POISON!

Poor Cheryl Hines and Chris Parnell are stuck in the Spiderhole mess that is La Lohan and they won't be seeing the light of day anytime soon. This movie will not be coming to a theatre near you, but rather a tv near you. It seems ABC/Disney has picked up Whore-a-cocaine Lohan's mess of a movie Labor Pains, and will air it on ABC Family in July. It will be released on DVD in August (WASTE!) and distributed in theatres overseas. I feel sorry for the Frenchies who will pay to see this hershey-squirt of a flick. Check out the trailer below and for laughs I tagged her Pornafarina ad. Enjoy!

Beauty, beauty look at you...

Yeah, I'm a total narcissist. Nah, not in the least! Compared to what I looked like 6 months ago, to about a year, I think I look pretty damn healthy. I guess break-ups have their advantages. I have re-focused my efforts on the most important person, my fucking self!

Otalia: Re-discovering Guiding Light

I have re-discovered the Light and for good reason. For the past year or so, the writers have been subtly weaving a great storyline involving Natalia (Jessica Leccia) and Olivia (Crystal Chappel). What I like about the potential pairing is the maturity with which it is being handled. The conflicts involving religion, identity, and sociology are more common and everyday than what All My Children and even As The World Turns have been churning out with their gay/lesbian characters.

With Olivia and Natalia or Otalia, as they have been nicknamed, we have two women struggling to find themselves amongst their friends, family, present and past loves. This storyline is much more organic than those involving, self-loathing closeted-obsessive monkey wrench characters (Kevin and Bryan - ATWT), gender bending rockstars (Zarf - AMC), and conflicted blind bisexual lesbians (Reese - AMC).

The storyline has built quite a fan based, and Otalia is currently one of the most praised same-sex pairing on daytime drama. Kudos to the writers for what has been thus far, an amazing storyline. Also, kudos to actresses for bringing to life such amazing characters!
